Advocate
Jessica Silber is a Board-Certified Advocate in Special Education who is dedicated to safeguarding every student’s access to a high-quality education and services. With over fifteen years of experience in the field of disability, Jessica has a deep understanding of the challenges facing students, families, and educators in the classroom and school system.
As an educational advocate, Jessica works tirelessly to promote the educational rights of students and families. She is passionate about supporting students with disabilities and ensuring that they receive the appropriate services and accommodations necessary to succeed in school. Jessica is committed to sustaining families throughout the educational process. She provides guidance and support to families struggling to navigate the educational system to obtain the services their child needs. She works collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and/or 504 plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
Jessica has an extensive background working with students with disabilities. Her capacity to understand the needs of students and innovative problem-solving has resulted in finding success for all individuals.
As a licensed ESE teacher in the state of Florida she has worked directly with students in the classroom and through the evaluation process. In addition, she served as ESE Department Head while working in the school system. This experience has given her a comprehensive understanding of the educational system and the challenges facing both students and educators.
Prior to working in the classroom, Jessica served as the Director of Residential Home and Community Based Services assisting children and adults with disabilities. This experience has provided her a unique insight on the challenges facing children beyond the classroom.
Finally, as a parent of a child with a disability, Jessica shares a parent’s desire to assist their child in finding success in school no matter what it takes. Jessica's passion for education and her commitment to student success make her an invaluable resource for families and educators alike.
